When the first GEL-Nimbus® came to market in the fall of 1999, the initial concept was to provide the ultimate cushioned platform. That notion has remained intact, but as the series evolved and began to attract a large following, it became clear that the story wasn’t just about cushioning.  In fact, many mild over-pronators chose the shoe because it provided a surprising amount of stability.  Others enjoyed the glove-like upper fit that was first introduced on the GEL-Nimbus® 6.  Today the series is the sum of all these factors, and enjoys an enviable status as the industry’s best-selling flagship cushioning shoe.  The Asics GEL-Nimbus® 13 will continue in the same direction, with a focus on improving the performance qualities of the shoe.
